Ram recalls 1,271,294 1500 pickups over improperly attached rear seat-belt anchors
A second-row seat-belt buckle anchor may not be properly fastened to the truck's body structure, which can reduce how effectively the restraint manages crash loads.

Why Chrysler issued the recall
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 210 requires seat-belt anchorage hardware and attachment bolts to meet specific load requirements. Chrysler says a second-row buckle anchor that is not properly fastened may have reduced load-management capability and may not restrain an occupant as intended, increasing injury risk in certain driving conditions or a crash.
The recall covers U.S. Ram 1500 pickups built from February 17, 2018, through April 27, 2026. The four-page filing identifies one Canadian customer concern involving a 2025 Ram 1500 and does not list any related crashes, fires, injuries, or deaths.
